A new powerful, LTE-capable smartphone from HTC is about to hit South Korean stores soon–and AT&T soon thereafter–in the form of the HTC Raider 4G.
HTC officially announced this week the HTC Raider 4G for SK Telecom, a South Korean mobile network. The device was previously referred to as the HTC Holiday and is a much-talked-about device, especially with photos of its alleged prototype appearing in various places on the Web.
Although HTC did not mention anything about its plans to release the HTC Raider 4G on AT&T, there is a strong indication that it is AT&T-bound. It will most likely retain the name HTC Holiday.
But, who really cares what it’s going to be called when it hits the U.S., since its a powerful smartphone. As an aside, HTC is also rumored to unleash another LTE-capable smartphone on the Verizon Wireless network, the HTC Vigor (rumored to be rebranded into the HTC DROID Incredible HD or the HTC Thunderbolt 2).
The HTC Holiday / HTC Raider 4G, however, has a slightly bigger screen size than the HTC Vigor’s. The former has a 4.5-inch touchscreen, while the latter has a 4.3-inch touchscreen. The HTC Raider 4G will carry a qHD (960×540) display resolution. The HTC Vigor, on the other hand, will reportedly have a 720p HD screen.
