Two of Sony Ericsson’s rumored upcoming Android handsets have recently appeared on the NenaMark database. Benchmark results show two seemingly identical handsets, codenamed the Sony Ericsson Nozomi and the Sony Ericsson Aoba.
Both handsets were reported as separate devices on NenaMark, but both bear identical specs, as follows:
- 1.5 GHz Qualcomm processor
- Adreno 220 graphics processing unit
- 1280×720 display resolution
- Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread
Apart from its benchmark results on NenaMark, very little else has been reported about the Sony Ericsson Aoba. Bearing the same results as the Aoba, the Sony Ericsson Nozomi, on the other hand, has been previously rumored for release some time during the Christmas season, although more recent reports are saying that it’s slated for release in early 2012.
But, the juiciest bit reported about the Nozomi is that it’s going to have Android 2.4/4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Leaked tips and rumors about Sony Ericsson Nozomi say it’s going to come with the following specs (aside from those revealed on NenaMark):
- 4.3-inch touchscreen
- 12-megapixel primary camera (with Sony Exmor R sensors)
- 1 GB of RAM
- 32 GB of internal storage
- 1,750 mAh battery
- micro SIM card slot
Yet, if those specs make it to actual production units, both the Sony Ericsson Nozomi and the Sony Ericsson Aoba will trump the Samsung Galaxy S II and the Motorola DROID Bionic–at least in camera pixelage and display resolution.
